Yellow Perch

The Yellow Perch is found statewide primarily in cool water habitats of rivers, lakes and impoundments. It feeds primarily on crustaceans, insects, mollusks and small fishes.

The Yellow Perch has a body that is taller than it is wide. It’s mouth extends to the eye and has small teeth. The body is olive-green on the back with 6-8 dark yellow, vertical stripes on the side
